THE PENINSULA OF SAMANA

The Peninsula of Samana, situated on the north coast, extending 60 KM in length, around 2 hours from the Capital on the highway currently nearing completion, is the most varied area of the country with mountainous relief, lush tropical vegetation and superb, natural undisturbed sandy beaches. Concentrated here is all the natural beauty and contrast of the Dominican Republic.
Discover the National Park of Los Haitises, the stunning El Limon waterfall, reached on horseback and on foot, visit the ancient grottos, the Pre-Columbian frescos and sculptures created by the Tainos Indians and watch the families of whales, protected by the World Wild Life Fund, in the Bay of Samana.
